Morrison’s Spey School
September 10, 11, 12, 2011
Come to Morrison’s Lodge for three days of expert Spey and Switch rod instruction. After a day of casting instruction, you will do day float trips on the Rogue River. Your instructor will continue to hone your spey casting skills while fishing for steelhead. When the day is over retire to the comforts of Morrison's Lodge for cocktail hour and its famous fine dining.
We will learn modern casting techniques with both Spey and Switch rods and explain the appropriate fly lines for fishing success.
During this school we will cover casts such as the snap T, double spey, single spey and snake roll.
We will explain skagit spey lines as well as Scandinavian shooting heads. You will get an opportunity to cast and practice with each line.
There is no better way to learn the skill of Spey casting than a three day Spey school and actually hone your skills with an instructor while you fish.
We will have a 2 to 1 student to instructor ratio with a limited class size of 6. Call and reserve early as this small class is expected to fill early.
Three days of instruction and fishing and two nights lodging at Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge with all meals provided.
Package includes:
